Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Pool Engineer to design and price out
custom commercial pools for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pool
engineering, design, and construction, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on
time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer custom commercial pools based on client specifications and industry
standards.
• Review inbound request for proposals (RFP) and invitations to bid (ITB).
• Develop detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for pool projects.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and project success.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential pool projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the construction process.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and present project proposals to clients.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pool design and engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
• Strong understanding of pool construction methods and materials.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Role Description

The Commercial Pool Project Manager is a full-time role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role oversees commercial pool and water feature projects from planning through completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, monitoring construction progress, managing contracts and change orders, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The Project Manager will lead site meetings, communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders, and resolve issues that may impact timelines or costs. This individual is also responsible for project documentation, cost tracking, and supporting continuous improvement of processes and workflows.

I. Position Purpose

The Commercial Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for the end-to-end logistical and administrative management of high-end commercial swimming pool and water feature projects. The CPM serves as the primary liaison between Sales, field crews, and external stakeholders to ensure all projects are executed according to technical specifications, on schedule, and within established budget parameters while maintaining the company’s 70-year standard of excellence.

II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Project Governance: Orchestrate the transition of projects from Sales to Construction; ensure a clear understanding of intricate hydraulic, structural, and finish requirements.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Develop, monitor, and adjust master project schedules to synchronize field operations with client milestones and subcontractor timelines.
• Resource Management: Work closely with in-house resources to facilitate efficient material procurement and equipment logistics, ensuring continuous job site progress.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the lead point of contact for General Contractors, developers, and engineers; manage all project-related communications, meetings, and updates.
• Regulatory Compliance: Partner with in-house resources to navigate the South Florida permitting process and ensure 100% compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
• Fiscal Management: Conduct ongoing budget oversight; identify and execute change orders as necessary to protect project profitability.
• Field Synergy: Provide high-level construction oversight and guidance to field crews to ensure technical accuracy and project momentum.

III. Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
• Technical Knowledge: Advanced "hands-on" technical understanding of complex aquatic construction, including advanced hydraulics and high-end finishes.
• Construction Oversight: Demonstrated experience in direct construction supervision and field crew management.
• Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of Microsoft Office Suite. Practical experience with BuilderTrend or equivalent construction management software.
• Adaptability: Proven ability to manage customer demands through both in-person site meetings and digital platforms.
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in English is required; bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly preferred.

IV. Competencies

• Communication: High-level verbal and written communication skills suitable for executive and field-level interactions.
• Problem Solving: Proactive ability to identify and resolve logistical or technical bottlenecks before they impact project timelines.

• Willingness to travel to job sites throughout South Florida for on-site inspections and client meetings.
• Flexibility to work in both a professional office environment and active construction site conditions.
